Stress in school~

For the past few weeks, my laptop is down for service. Not only that, the piling up of projects and numerous quizzes was the reason for not having time for blogging.

this is the link of youtube for our video. The last time i had a looked, we have a total of 74views, 11rating and 5 comments.

http://m1.com.sg/broadband/m1bb.htm
as i promised, this is the link to the M1 broadband service. From the description, i believe that service is provide due to the technology of 3G as it wrote on the site saying that the speed rate is affect by the amount of 3G user in the district.

Apparently, M1 website is under maintanence while i writing this entry. I was told to go do some research on M1 new service of getting connect to internet anywhere. From my knowlegde, the new M1 wireless broadband provider had only start their service 1-2 months ago. In "layman term", the so-called wireless broadband is actually rather similar to our dial-up connection, we were using during is 90's. The connection is establise using the mobile calls to connects to the 3Gology. In the plan, the user just need to pay a standard subscription fees and will have unlimited access to the internet wirelessly. However, there is a catch in the plan. Under one of the clause in the contract, user are advised not to exceed the download data of 2GB for the month. User whom downloaded more than 2GB of data per month maybe request to pay for the exceed download.

MB362 - Electronics & Mobile Commerce (week 1)

Was late for the first lesson of MB362. Well, couldn't blame us as it will a very early 830am lesson on a rainy Friday morning!(excellent for sleeping) ha ha..

During the lesson, we discussed quite a fair bit on disruptive technologies and how this technologies have disrupted existing markets. Such technologies as MP3, P2p, VOIP and email have bring about many convenience to the consumers but are ,and have, cause great threats to many of the current industries such as, entertainment, fixed line service provider and telegram services.

I personally felt that Electronics and Mobile Commerce is a very relevant business channel in present world. Simply last year, Google had bought US$1.65bn worth of shares of YouTude http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/6034577.stm . Locally, we had Hardwarezone sold to SPH(Singapore Press Holdings) for SGD $7.1mil http://www.sph.com.sg/news/latest/press_060929_001.html .
